description: This dataset contains boundaries for lands identified as Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACECs) in Wyoming. ACECs are established for the protection and enhancement of significant resource values as determined by the ACEC evaluation process. This evaluation process is a component of the larger Land Use Planning process for BLM Resource Management Plans. In addition to previously designated ACECs, this current edition includes the newly designated ACECs from the Lander RMP (2014), Cody RMP (2015), and Buffalo RMP (2015). Note: The BLM identifies certain ACECs as having restricted data viewing to the public. This measure is for the protection of extremely sensitive and irreplaceable resources. Any ACEC with this designation is not included in this dataset. Please refer to the Approved BLM Resource Management Plans for information regarding ACECs.
