Newly located segments of trail that are open to the public are continuously GPS'd and updated yearly in this dataset using the professional mapping grade GPS Magellan ProMark.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
This LINE dataset was created to show the location on the ground of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. These data were created from professional mapping grade GPS collection using a Magellan ProMark from 2009-2015.

No Topologic constraints have been placed on this data. Therefore Topological consistenancy does not exist. No attempt was made at this time to correct any errors. Therefore do not use this data for calculating "MILES" of trail or "MILES" of road from these datasets.
This dataset includes attributes collected in the field via a GPS data dictionary that have not been verified by land managers for accuracy. This dataset Does Not include finalized attributes related to managment that cannot be collected in the field. Finalizing the attributes will occur in the near future.
